Sales and Acquisitions

Advice from people who’ve bought, built and sold businesses themselves.

Practical, experienced support from initial discussions through to completion.

Whether you are preparing to sell a business you have spent years building, considering an acquisition, or responding to an unexpected approach, the decisions you make throughout the process can have a significant impact on both the outcome and the value achieved.

I provide hands-on support throughout business sales and acquisitions, via Your Lifetime Ventures, a business in which I am a director and owner. From deal structure and negotiations through to due diligence and completion.

Having personally bought, grown and sold businesses, as well as advised business owners through transactions, I understand the process from both sides of the table. My role is to help you understand the numbers, identify the risks, negotiate effectively and keep the transaction moving towards the right commercial outcome.

Not a Mass-Market Business Broker

For many business owners, confidentiality matters. Employees, customers, suppliers and competitors don’t necessarily need to know that you’re considering a sale.

That’s why our approach is deliberately discreet. Rather than simply advertising your business to the widest possible audience, we identify and approach carefully selected potential buyers who we believe could be a genuine fit.

Where possible, we like to start even earlier. Through Your Lifetime Ventures, we’re actively involved in the acquisition market ourselves and build relationships with potential buyers and investors — sometimes 12–24 months before a business is ready to sell.

It gives us a different perspective. We understand what buyers are looking for, how they assess a business and what can increase — or quickly undermine — their appetite to do a deal.

We also only take on a limited number of transactions. You won’t become another listing in a broker’s catalogue. You’ll work closely with experienced people who understand your business, protect its confidentiality and are focused on finding the right buyer and achieving the right outcome.
